If you’re going to overindulge, you may as well go all out, and what better way to do so than with a maple-glazed bacon doughnut from downtown’s Nickel Diner?

This unique confection is the surprisingly perfect combination of salty and sweet, giving the doughy-goodness of the doughnut an unexpected crunch with bacon sprinkles. The one-of-a-kind dessert may seem a bit intense –and it is– but it’s sure to please any bacon-lover.

Not brave enough to go for the bacon doughnut? The old school Nickel Diner is still worth checking out for it’s extensive brunch menu (the Sunny Side Cup egg dish with polenta is incredible) and more traditional desserts.
